The main role of UITIC is to create a community of entities and individuals with common interest in the technical advancement of the footwear industry; in that regard UITIC members are national footwear associations, companies, research institutes and universities, individuals who do not belong to any association (especially in countries where there are no national associations), as well as technical centers and sectorial technological institutes.
